زیست شناسی

پردیس ثابتی 

پردیس ثابتی (زاده ۱۳۵۴ در تهران) اکنون زیست شناس برجسته ایرانی-آمریکایی اهل فلوریدا و ساکن ماساچوست در ایالات متحده آمریکا و استاد دانشگاه هاروارد است.

 

ثابتی سومین زنی در تاریخ است که با معدل ۱۰۰ و مدارج کامل (به لاتین: Summa Cum Laude) از مدرسه پزشکی دانشگاه هاروارد آمریکا فارغ التحصیل شدهاست. 

وی بعنوان یکی از سرشناس ترین محققان آمریکا در زمینه بررسی ژنوم مالاریا، از بنیاد بیل و ملیندا گیتس بالغ بر ۲ میلیون دلار بودجه تحقیقاتی دریافت کرده است

پردیس ثابتی اخیرا نیز به عنوان یکی از ۱۰۰ چهره نابغه جهان از سوی گروه بین المللی Creators Synectics معرفی شدهاست.

شبکه خبری سیانان نیز در سال ۲۰۰۷، ثابتی را به عنوان «یکی از ۸ نوابغی که دنیای ما را متحول خواهند ساخت» عنوان کرده است.

تحقیقات وی در خصوص تکامل انسانی در طیف وسیعی از نشریات معتبر علمی و تحقیقاتی جهان نظیر نیچر و ساینس منتشر شدهاست. دکتر ثابتی که تاکنون بالغ بر ۲۰ اثر علمی و تحقیقاتی را به رشته تالیف درآورده است.

وی همچنین عضو هیئت ناظرین متخصص در گردهمایی سال ۲۰۰۸ مجمع جهانی اقتصاد بود.

انوشه انصاری

او متولد شهرمشهددرایراناست . انوشه همیشه عاشقفضاو فضانوردی و درپی راه یافتن بهفضابوده‌است.وی در سال۱۳۶۳(۱۹۸۴) به همراه خانواده‌اش به آمریکا مهاجرت کرد.

وی اولین فضانوردایرانی الاصل دنیاست و اولین زن کیهان‌گرد و چهارمین نفری است کههزینهٔ سفر فضایی خود را پرداخت کرده‌است. او همچنین پس ازعبدالاحد مومند فضانوردافغاندومین فضانورد فارسی‌زبان است. انصاری ترجیح می‌دهد درمورد خود از عنوان «فضانورد همراه» به‏‏جای واژهٔ «گردشگر فضایی» استفاده کند.

رکسانا مصلحی 

رکسانا مصلحی یک متخصص ژنتیک است که اکثر تحقیقات و پژوهش های وی در رابطه با سرطان و راه های درمان آن معطوف بوده است . 

او در ایران متولد شد و در کانادا رشد کرد و هم اکنون استادیار بخش ژنتیک دانشگاه نیویورک است .وی در دانشگاه کلمبیا تحصیلات خود را سپری کرد و جوایزی همچون را در زمینه تدریس و شیوه ی خوب علم آموزی وی همچون Award for Excellence in Teaching (UBC و Biovision Fellowship را در یافت کرده است .

دکتر مریم میرزاخانی استاد جوان ایرانی، یکی از10 مغز برتر آمریکا

 دکتر مریم میرزاخانی، استادیار جوان دانشگاه«پرینستون»، به عنوان یکی از 10 مغز برتر آمریکای شمالی معرفی شد و به او لقب سد شکن دادند.  مریم میرزاخانی در سال های ۷۳ و ۷۴  ( سال سوم و چهارم دبیرستان) از مدرسه‌ی فرزانگان تهران موفق به کسب مدال طلای المپیاد ریاضی کشوری شد و بعد از آن در سال ۱۹۹۴ در المپیاد جهانی ریاضی هنگ کنگ با ۴۱ امتیاز از ۴۲ امتیاز مدال طلای جهانی گرفت .  سال بعد یعنی ۱۹۹۵ در المپیاد جهانی ریاضی کانادا با ۴۲ امتیاز از ۴۲، رتبه ی ۱ طلای جهانی را به دست آورد

میرزاخانی از جمله بازماندگان سانحه غم‌بار سقوط اتوبوس حامل نخبگان ریاضی دانشگاه صنعتی شریف به دره در اسفندماه سال 76 است.

کریستین امان‌پور فرزند محمد امان‌پور مدیر هواپیمایی ایرانی و همسر بریتانیایی او پاتریشیا است. کریستین تحصیلات خود را تا سن یازده سالگی در ایران و پس از آن تا پایان دوره دبیرستان در بریتانیا انجام داد. سپس به دانشگاه رودآیلند در آمریکا رفت و تحصیل خود را در رشته روزنامه‌نگاری در در سال ۱۹۸۳ به پایان رساند.

 

کریستیان امانپور  مجری برنامه «این هفته» در شبکه ای‌بی‌سی است. او پیش‌تر گزارشگر ارشد بخش اخبار بین‌المللی شبکه خبری سی‌ان‌ان بود. او یکی از خبرنگاران نامدار ایالات متحده آمریکا است.

او از خبرنگاران جنگی متبحر جهان به شمار می‌رود. گزارش‌های امان‌پور از بالکان باعث شد که در سال ۱۹۹۴ جایزه امی دو جایزه جورج فاستر پیبادی، دو جایزه جورج پولک و جایزه شجاعت در گزارشگری دریافت کند.

او همچنین مصاحبه‌های بسیاری انجام داده‌است که از آن جمله می‌توان به مصاحبه با ژاک شیراک ۲۰۰۳ (قبل از جنگ عراق)، محمود عباس ۲۰۰۳، ملک عبدالله ۱۹۹۹، پرویز مشرف ۲۰۰۱، یاسر عرفات ۲۰۰۰ و محمد خاتمی ۱۹۹۷  اشاره کرد.

زهره جویا در مشهد به دنیا آمد. او از پدری افغان ( اهل هرات) و مادری ایرانی زاده شده است. در هنر آوازخوانی خانم جویا ، نه تنها تاثیر این دو فرهنگ ، بلکه رد پای موسیقی اروپایی نیز بسیار برجسته می‌باشد.

زهره جویا مدرسه را در ایران به پایان رسانده وبرای آموختن موسیقی به اروپا رفت وتحصیلات عالی اش را دراین رشته در آمستردام و بعداً در دانشسرای هنرهای زیبای وین – اتریش – به پایان رسانده‌است و در رشته «اپرا» فوق لیسانس گرفته‌است.

جویا با اجرای کنسرت‌هایش، نه تنها درعرصه‌های موسیقی ایرانی و افغانی هنرنمایی کرده‌است، بلکه دراجرای اپراها درکشورهای غربی نیز از محبوبیت خاصی برخوردار گشته‌است.

زهره جویا، پیوسته با هنرش به موسسات خیریه و نهادهایی که برای تامین حقوق زنان تلاش می‌ورزند مددکاری نموده‌است. وی با فعالیت‌های هنریش، با گروه‌های نیکوکاری به ویژه سازمان‌های خارج از کشور که برای حقوق زن در افغانستان فعالیت دارند، کمک و همکاری دارد.
